XLWales are holding an official launch of the Swansea ICT Map website on
Tuesday 1st July 2008

XLWales have been working with groups in the communities of Penlan, Clase/Caemawr, Bonymaen, Blaenymaes, Townhill and the city centre. Each group has learnt new skills using PDA’s (Personal Digital Assistants) They have used these skills to go around their local community to record information of ICT facilities in their area. This information has been used to produce the website www.swanseaictmap.co.uk. The website has therefore been produce by the community for their community.
The launch will be an opportunity to try out the new website, meet the groups, look at their work and also try out the PDA’s yourself!
There will also be other organisations showcasing work happening in the Communities first areas of Swansea; including Planet Penlan, The ARC Centre and Swansea College
The invitation is open to everyone who wants to see the exciting work happening across Swansea and you’re more than welcome to bring along a colleague or friend
